Eyes That Kiss In The Corners

I loved reading “Eyes That Kiss In The Corners” to my class kids. The author talks about an Asian girl's feelings that has ‘eyes that kiss in the corners’. I don’t see many books that celebrate the beauty of facial features and I am so glad to have this book in my class library and would totally encourage any teachers or parents to invest in this book.

I enjoyed reading and exploring every page as it highlights the importance of recognising an individual's beauty, respecting family beliefs and culture. The words on each page exude positivity and I just love how the family members teach the offspring to practice self-love. This book is a mirror for every reader around the world.

Dung Ho’s illustrations are captivating as they complement Joanna Ho’s figurative language well. A must read!
