ABOUT SHAMEER
Shameer is an early childhood and primary school teacher at an international school in Singapore. But what really defines him, is his unwavering belief that every child is a reader and writer. He is passionate about moulding non-readers into book-lovers, reluctant writers into those who see themselves as authors.
While curriculum planning and ESL are his forte, he spreads the joy of teaching by mentoring educators and conducting professional development workshops. He is also an Associate Lecturer at the National Institute of Early Childhood Development, Singapore. His journey as a literacy enthusiast has brought him to Uganda @LRTT and places beyond Singapore.
He has co-authored two picture books - "The Boy and the Box" and "The Girl and the Box" and is a presenter at the EARCOS Teacher Conference 2023.
