Two simple but profound picture books that discuss the concept of mindfulness and emotional literacy. Both books teach young children to process sadness and happiness in the most creative way. Instead of saying "don’t be sad" or "it’s okay, you are going to be fine" Eva Eland showed readers that sadness and happiness can be dealt with differently. She encourages to explore sadness by facing it, talking about it and that sometimes the best way is to acknowledge it rather than hiding from it.
As for happiness - she directs readers to a different path of happiness and advises them to be patient when searching for happiness, as it's always there right in front of them!
