Love love love this book!!!
We all want connections and communication is key to building relationships. This book made me ponder how many of us actually connect with our neighbors? How much do we know our neighbors in our apartment?
My class kids were simply in awe with illustrations scrutinizing and comparing each and every page. The sentences on each page were simple and easy to read. The rhetorical question on the pages sparked off discussions around the main character. They were anticipating her every move - pondering if she would reach out to her new neighbors.
What attracts me the most about this book is the black and white shades - gives me a nostalgic feeling as I go through the pages. It totally reminded me of my apartment I used to live in.
A delightful book filled with curiosity and wonder. Totally worth having this in your classroom.
