Life Cycle

We can see the presence of wonder in a Grade two classroom. Children thrive in an enviroment that supports their thirst for learning. Creating such a conducive environment will motivate them to wonder and prompt them to ask authentic questions. Stephanie Harvey and Anne Goudvis reiterated that passion and wonder are contagious. The children in Grade 2 know that their thinking and ideas matter. They were ready to investigate the life cycle of various types of plants and animals. They could not wait to see how the caterpillars develop into a butterfly, how fish grow and how green beans pass through the stages.

You can download the resource for the craft here. For more information on where you can get a caterpillar in Singapore and how to take care of them, click here.
